Hey Guys! Here we go a lovely little review by our Amazing Gloss Guru. Please go check out her blog.
Hi lovelies! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted! Things have just been crazy busy at the moment and have a lot on my plate. Being back at work full-time, juggling collaborations and giveaways, finding time to post on all my social media platforms and doing all this while trying to stay safe and healthy in this chaotic period is no easy feat. Thankfully, Kangol were kind enough to send me some of their latest items and let me tell you, it was the most unexpected pick-me-up and totally made my week!
If you’ve read my previous post, you’ll know I’ve been a fangirl of Kangol ever since I purchased their graffiti treats eyeshadow palette many years ago. While I wasn’t fully sold on their Miami nail polish (a beautiful bright hot pink shade), I must admit that I’ve really grown to love their nail polishes. Since wearing masks became mandatory, I don’t wear makeup at all during the day to work and so I find myself using my nails as a form of creative expression. I’ve had lots of fun trying out these new nail polish shades! The colours include NVM – a dark khaki green, BRB – an almost metallic deep blue indigo and LOL – a cerise with a hint of purple. I have tried the nail polish on my natural nails and it lasts about a week which is pretty impressive considering I am constantly washing and sanitising my hands daily. I have also used the nail polish on fake nails and was impressed because the pigment is strong enough to cover the fake nail with only one coat (although I applied two coats to make the colour even richer because well, I’m extra like that!). My favourite colour has to be BRB which looked absolutely amazing on the long square fake nails, closely followed my NVM because that dark green gives an edgy twist to short vampy nails.
Then I came across a very interesting item – rose gold shimmery body balm! I really like the rose gold colour as opposed to pure gold as I feel like it is more suitable to various skin tones and looks more natural than pure gold. The formula has a thin and waxy but very light texture so it’s comfortable to wear. The shimmer is subtle and looks amazing when in the sunlight. I can definitely see myself using this during the spring and summer months by using it as a cream highlight and adding it to my shoulders and collarbone area to really add some flair to my off the shoulder tops!
The last item was the new K by Kangol fragrance for women. I adore the simple packaging (less really is more). The perfume has a light, delicate floral scent so if that’s up your alley, I totally recommend it. I ended up gifting this perfume to my sister as she adores these types of scents. No need to worry about me though – I am still working through my Black my Kangol fragrance as I prefer heavier oriental scents.
Lastly, a huge thank you to Kangol for spoiling me yet again!
